my tumblr timeline has showed me numerous pictures of stacks of orange and russet cabled sweaters and it's making me want to make one of my own. this is fine and good except:
- I have quite a few gifts I want to finish for holiday times
- I don't actually like doing most cables
- I'm not a tiny person so the initial investment on just the yarn is probably US $100+
but also, consider, knitting my own sweater 🍂🧶
I'm browsing sweater patterns and it's nice that some patterns go up to 5XL. it's less helpful when they don't say how big that is, so that I am having to multiply the number of body stitches by the gauge swatch size to get an idea (it's a free pattern, or I couldn't even manage that much)
