Night of the Living Dead Review

I genuinely am not sure where to start here. What an incredible movie.

I have very little deliberate exposure to zombie lore—basically just what I've gotten from cultural osmosis—but wow, what a fascinating ~beginning to the zombie (ghoul) film genre. As much as zombie movies have varying rulesets they play by, this one clearly predates all of them in very interesting ways.

Last but not least... this movie is such a product of its time, in the most complimentary possible way. Highly, highly recommended.

the first time i watched this movie was because i'd been invited to be part of an original live soundtrack for it with a bunch of other music weirdos during a hallowe'en screening of it, just a few years back, so i watched it multiple times in a month & watched a few scenes of it 10/15 times while i wrote & was totally blown away, even as someone who was a Big Zombie Fan as a teen
