something i am learning about SF6's CPU opponents after trying to pick up characters other than JP is that the fact that even max-level CPU didn't know how to deal with JP's shit was an outlier and they can and will beat the piss out of you for doing anything that isn't fullscreen spikes into projectile command grab
something i think would be really cool to see someday is a game that goes out of its way to make CPU opponents that play like humans, with shit like slightly inconsistent reaction times, or the ability to be trained to expect you to follow patterns you set up so you can actually mix them up or overload their mental stack by going for something they weren't looking for
don't get me wrong, i love making CPU players that push beyond what's humanly possible to see just how much pain and suffering i can inflict on those foolish enough to challenge it, but i think it would also be cool to be able to practice against fighting game CPU opponents that both know how to actually punish me for a mistake but don't always perfectly tech every single throw with robotic precision that no human opponent will ever have, instead of having to just choose "too easy" or "too cheat-y"
