I made a 2022 media thread on twitter to summarise the games I've streamed on twitch and I've been thinking on how to format it here on Cohost. I think I'll just do it in one long post underneath a read more, and also not use images so I don't have to hotlink a dozen or so pics or host them somewhere else first lol.
Anyway, since the year is almost over, and I recently had my last stream of the year, I want to reflect back on all the games I've streamed for yall and the fun memories that I made along the way. Let's do a quick recap shall we? :3
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Morrowind was where it all began, and it was super fun. The adventures of Llaves Ryoryn were at times pretty wacky and I was still trying to find myself as a streamer, but I am glad we managed to get so far, beating the main game, expansions, and more.
Wildermyth
Wildermyth is really cool. Procedural storytelling that leads to really interesting results, but also, I quite like the combat system, feeling like a mixture of xcom and DnD sometimes. A fun game with lots of replayability.
Chicory: A Colorful Tale
Chicory: A Colorful Tale was very fun to play again on stream. This game is very significant to me because it pushed me and inspired me to wanna do art and it was a real tearjerker to play through. We had many special moments with this game, and I love it to bits!
Zniw Adventure
Zniw Adventure was super fun to play through in its entirity. I love the toony point n click adventure game style, reminding me of my days as a kid playing games like Freddi Fish. I'm super looking forward to the sequel to this game coming out soon!
Starbound
I didn't finish Starbound sadly, but it was really fun to play with my avali character Eirhezi and build a base to my heart's content and go on lots of mining expeditions. Maybe it will return again someday so I can finish the main story.
Phasmophobia
Phasmophobia was one of my games of choice for October. I love this game, though admittedly, I am a bit of a chicken and playing solo was not always the best idea. Nevertheless, it was cool to get spooked and scream every now and then :3c
Night in the Woods
Night in the Woods was very significant to me personally because I've been where Mae has been before. It was really nice to get back into the game, a bit older now, and knowing that I ended up in a good place, and I am sure Mae will too.
Spirit of the North
Spirit of the North is a real gem. The aesthetics of the game are beautiful, the puzzles are fun, and you get to play as a fluffy fox? Really cool game with lots of references to Icelandic Mythology.
Syberia
Syberia! Woah! I played this game as a child and I was in awe by the story but never had the brains to understand it. Playing it as an adult and really grasping the full context of everything was great, and the story still held up. Great game despite being a bit aged.
Later Alligator
Alligators! This was just a really funny game! Funny puzzles, funny dialogue, I love Pat. Good toony style and cute animals.
Citizen Sleeper
hoooff, now we're getting into the games that REALLY hit me. All I can say is, you should pick this up. This is one of the most well-paced, heartfelt stories with deep and rich themes I've played. It left me speechless.
Pokémon Soulsilver
Pokémon Soulsilver has always been my favourite mainline pokémon game to play, and it was really really fun to get to go through Johto again and find so many of my favourite pokémon at a casual pace.
Pokéathlon foreverrr!!!
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
Welcome to the game that got an ENTIRE stream full of grown adults to cry uncontrollably. I really didn't think this game would affect me emotionally to this extent given that I've played it before several times already but wow...
And that's it! Those are the games I've played! It's quite a list for half a year of streaming lol. 2023 is gonna be a very long list as well at this rate.
