Man, email as a communication method just SUCKS man.
It kind of sucks in the sense that it's BARELY even a medium that is used for its purpose at all. At least it doesn't to me, because email is not usable as a communication medium.
Email is such a mess, no matter how hard you try to keep your inbox clean, it always becomes a mess of subscriptions you didn't ask for that are purposely made as difficult to turn off or use as manipulative language as possible when you beg websites to stop cluttering this stupid internet communication with dozens of notifications and "newsletters" and reminders about how cool their website is every week or day. It's an entropic barrage that you cannot fight until you just sort of give up and let go of the medium and let it just pile up garbage.
I am not kidding, I -barely- check my personal email anymore. It's not useful for anything. I just get frustrated by using it. It's becoming rapidly part of the obsolete forms of communications like phone calls. Stuff that you're forced to use every now and then for business and for people who insist they want to use email instead of a more useful communication platform. And what sucks is that it really did not have to be this way, but capitalistic usage of the email platform, every notification, every alert, every reminder, every little website going "Hi, remember when you visited us in 2019? You want to unsubscribe? fuck you" has made email unusable to me.
