I'm the stream boy. This is where I share funny Twitch clips sometimes.
...I have a tremendous sweet tooth and even I do not sweeten my scrambled eggs. (Except, I guess, sometimes with corn. Eggs + corn niblets is delicious.)
As a fellow mega sweet tooth (lol lmao I'm seeing this on a recipe for some toffee cookies), I'm taken aback that there's a base expectation of "sweet" let alone any desire for making it sweeter.
(Actual Factuals tho)
make your scrambled eggs savorier with this delicious ingredient (using fish sauce instead of salt)
lol yeah that's what i grew up learning from my parents too, tbh in a lot of stuff that's just what i use for salt, not just eggs. in eggs it's just what i think scrambled eggs taste like already
I mean you can 'chup up the eggs but I've only ever heard of 'chupping your eggs when it's an omelette over rice.
if it's scrambled with hella fixin's, like potatoes and meats, I can see a 'chup topping working, but straight scrambegg?? nah
Honestly, ketchup is fair. That'd make it "sweet", but it does not need a further step. That's putting the ER into "sweeter"
I do not want to yuck anyone's yum, but if someone I trust serves me sweetened scrambled eggs, I would have to rethink my relationship with them.
Edit: I was reminded that sweet variations of tamagoyaki exist. My thoughts have not changed. Only serve me savory tamagoyaki.
Yeah, that never needs to be sweeter. It's perfectly balanced as is. I'd still be on the same boat of rethinking anyone who thinks it needs more sweet.
this would be a hilarious header for a cookie recipe. though I guess you'd need to say 'ingredients'
Honestly if it was that, or a curdled custard recipe, I'd want to shake the writer's hand.
But also I'll never know
To be fair I do enjoy tamagoyaki, which is a little on the sweeter side, but my brain files that in a very specific way. Sweet scrambled eggs though? Just typical scrambled eggs??
I mean same. There's plenty of Japanese style eggs that I see as a little sweet. I never think "oh that needed to be sweeter."
So reeling it back to scrambled is like "Hm. Much to think about. "
A sicko darts out of the shadows of a nearby alley.
"Hey kid, wanna buy some... candied eggs?"
If I don't see them carrying Cadbury Creme Eggs and, instead, caramelized scrambled egg balls I'm going to McLose it.
