Hey folks. The internet needs more websites you can check when you log on. I made a site called sortition social that selects a random feed from a database to be featured. Every day a new feed is added, and stays on the page for seven days before it falls off the end of the timeline to be replaced by a new one. It's social media by lottery!

Check it out here!

Would you consider adding an RSS feed to your site as well? It feels a little ironic that there isn't one that I can follow in my existing RSS reader, which is already my "check the web every day" mechanism.

Ah, so it is, and yeah it did require a hard refresh, even though it was way more than 10 minutes since I looked last. Is it possible that the etag also didn't get updated? This stuff can get super fiddly.

ok so the feed is probably fine and it's an extension of whatever the hell is wrong between my hover domain and github pages that it doesn't show up on firefox android. will see what i can do

ok i fixed it and the website is telling me it's been added. problem was: CNAME was specifying http:// solution was: remove the http:// and enable https on github pages. whether or not the feed is formatted properly and actually works remains to be seen, but firefox mobile can now find my website
