aight i just gotta talk about this, has anyone else kind of like, had a moment while playing one of their absolute favorite videogames ever/an extremely good game where you suddenly are hit with this strange feeling where you almost feel like crying out of happiness like, "my god this is just, peak, no other words to describe it man i'm so happy i get to play this"?

I've had it with at least 3 games, first it was breath of the wild though i think that was mostly because of how lucky i was to have gotten a switch lite overall, then Rhythm Doctor while playing 2-X, and then Sonic Frontiers The Final Horizon update when fighting The End. Next time i predict it will happen when i get my grubby hands on Dragon Ball Sparking Zero i am sure of it.

Why in god's name do some games like mirror's edge and bomb rush cyberfunk do this thing where the tutorials tell you to use a certain trigger/bumper, then use the incorrect icon, sure it still says "RT" meaning right trigger but the silhouette (the most recognizable part of the icon) is that of the LEFT trigger not the right

the song is a banger and the gameplay is fun and simple

I must say everything about this game is fantastic... except for the gameplay.
Don't get me wrong it isn't bad but it isn't really all that fun either to be honest, compared to everything else in the game it feels a bit lacking so far.
I'm no game reviewer or game design expert so i can't say much but something kinda feels wrong with the gameplay? Like the rhythm aspect of it doesn't work all that well, most of the time i forget it's even like that, even with the visual rhythm indicator on it's so subtle it doesn't make a difference in making it feel like the enemies are actually attacking to the song.
Also i feel like this game would benefit from having a parry button instead of a dodge button, yes i know you can parry purple attacks but i've seen like zero purple attacks so far after the tutorial.
Anyways that's it, this game's great at everything except the gameplay imo.

idk what i was smoking the gameplay is better than i thought, it could be just that dj supernova and sayu weren't that fun but dk west and yinu or whatever her name was felt way more fun and specially yinu's fight answered my complaint of "it doesn't feel like the attacks actually go to the music"

Also fucking finally some pink/purple attacks i can parry, honestly there should've been more earlier but whatever i'm happy
