the weirdest thing is that we've got like 10 other shows happening; day of the devs, the latin American games showcase, Devolver's show, the wholesome direct, a women led games show, the future games show and the future of play show (which are different things). Most of these are vaguely similar; mostly indie games, lots of announcements with very little filler, often a theme that all the games fall under...
and not only do they not do any breaks between them, they also keep announcing games in between the shows. There's no breaks, no moments of "and now it's time for THIS announcement thing", it's just an endless parade of trailers with no pauses or ability to tell when something has changed. It takes what could be some very cool shows and kinda blends them all into one giant mush in a way that really sucks imo
