I do not think it is possible, as it currently stands, to be a Magic The Gathering person anymore
you can enjoy the hobby, you can like playing games, you can excitedly draft sets, you can play commander games with friends, there's all sorts of great ways to enjoy it; however, making your Core Hobby be magic the gathering right now seems absolutely nightmarish unless you have an absolutely insane ability to say to ignore a Lot of stuff. not just like, wotc making bad choices, but the sheer number of expansions and weird bad content means you're being buried; if you can't just turn a blind eye to it and Not Think About It then I don't think it's possible to engage with healthily
