Impersonal Call To Action headline aside, I genuinely am looking for any help anyone is willing to give with the Indiepocalypse Pledge Drive. This 4th drive is the lowest yet, which is fine (things can't grow forever and seeking that is misguided) except that currently it will not even pay out royalties to all the contributors.
"Break even!" is the headline goal because I like a massive unattainable (yet aspirational!) goal for any pledge drive, but the true goal is ensuring that past Indiepocalypse contributors from unprofitable issues (all but 3) receive at least one royalty payment each year. This year that goal is ~$3525, a goal that is, as of writing, 14% met. But also that goal is higher than the pledge total from last year, a year that where I received public endorsements from platforms well above my own.
And the goal gets further away each year! And the minimum required to ensure each issue (assuming they've had no sales since the last payout, which is uncommon) goes up as the number of issues added (10) more than exceeds the number of issues that become profitable since the last drive (usually 0).
If you see this and can offer any support whether it's pledging, sharing, or just telling someone else I would be endlessly grateful!
