the sound effects in Shadow Tower are really something else. there's no music in the game so really hearing when an enemy is nearby is key to surviving. but every once and a while there will be a random sound effect of someone whispering, or a child crying, or a very very faint cry in the distance, and it's there for no other reason than to freak you out.
