A wonderful game with a very interesting way of world building. Cutscene and lore heavy, requires quite a bit of investment. If you wanna watch a show while playing it's quite nice. The combat feels fluid and responsive on performance mode.
The graphics chug hard, often dropping in frames. The motion blur is nauseating. I played in performance mode so that the battles play more smoothly.
Around the mid to end of the game the side quests for the most part started to get fatiguing, often repeating and reminding you of side-story beats you're already aware of. I was ready for the game to end by the final chapter.
The Final Fantasy difficulty, allows one to enjoy the game all over again, with the bosses and enemies feeling less trivial, feeling just as epic as the first time. I will say that the equipment/upgrade system and the ability system feel far too limited and their cooldowns feel far too long, especially combined with the HP sponge health on FF difficulty.
All in all, it's a very solid game with a lot of blemishes but I really adore this game and look forward to playing it through again on FF difficulty.
I'm not that far in the Game and it's my first action character game and also my first offline single-player Final Fantasy Game but so far I'm absolutely amazed. ๐
