Ooof, it was a rough one, but I got this seed done in about the same amount of time as the first one where I streamed it. Technically, it was probably slightly faster since I took a 15-25 minute break to go to the bathroom near the end, which inflated my time a bit.
Ran a Muk starter that started with Dizzy Punch, Double Team, Psychic, and Solarbeam, and then it learned Mach Punch at 23 and I taught it Surf (which isn't a TM, it's an HM) over Solarbeam despite the prevalence of Omanyte/Kabuto lines.
There were just so many places to go and so many places to check thanks to there being 6 or so Catch-based goals, and the TM13 (Snore) goal I basically screwed myself out of thanks to not setting the time at the beginning to something like 11 or 10:30PM such that I could roll the day over and refresh the Berry berry bushes (what would eventually be called Oran Berries in gen 3 and higher) so that I'd get enough Berry berries to feed the Miltank for that TM, instead of having to wander all the way through Ice Path and Blackthorn City's side of Dark Cave.
Among all those Catch-based checks, most of them were in the lower percentage Encounter Slots, though thankfully I found a few replacements that I hadn't gathered info on in the early & mid games (looking at you, Graveler; thank you for showing up in Mount Mortar on floor 1 when both Machoke and Haunter, who I did have info on, were among the other 30+ slots I hadn't gotten to yet).
Funnily enough, I should've known that the Suicune (the pokemon that replaced it) was a Wigglytuff based off of the cries in the Burned Tower cutscene.😅 That would've meant two goals for the price of one catch. Instead, I'd gone searching for Clefable in Sprout Tower before going to Tin Tower for The (Wigglytuff) Suicune.
Oh well. Hopefully we get a Key Item Rando next. This bingo seed is now two weeks old and nobody (but I think maybe me, despite being a week late) had done it before I did. Maybe I could take over as a leader on the game to drum up more interest despite having less/misplaced knowledge than the main leader..?
