this might not matter to anybody but watching what linkin park has been putting out in the past few years has been endlessly frustrating i think. it almost feels like they're milking every unfinished recording session with chester for all they're worth. like don't get me wrong, chester's death was a tragedy and i wish he was still here, but at the same time... he's not. so for them to keep making "new" music which ends up being them finishing demos from when chester was alive feels... i dunno! it doesn't quite sit right in my gut.
i'm not telling them that they have to move on or anything, and obviously they owe me nothing, but still. i've wondered what a post-chester linkin park could be for the last few years and it's starting to feel like the answer is "stuck in the past".
