i keep having the weirdest little problem with my keyboard. there is just one single key where the backlight is failing, but only the red part. the blue and green are working just fine, but the red is just broken. but also sometimes it starts working again for a little bit? but it always breaks again. i have no idea what is causing this.

That sounds like a bad solder joint (or bond wire) on just the red LED for that key.
yeah probably... sucks that it's probably such a tiny little solder thing too cuz i don't have any of the equipment to fix it either but it's So Bothering to look at
