today isn't the game awards show, that's in december. today is the notE3 show. but yes they do announce shitloads of games at the game awards and it's awful

This isn't an awards show, it's a showcase.
The fact people can't tell the difference is maybe not a good sign for the awards show.
These sorts of events have always felt worryingly close to that one Squidward quote, personally speaking.
