Sinlen is Naomi's best friend, but weird bestfriends that happen because their mothers were best friends. Got the jocky, tomboyish, kinda herboish, kinda really religious (at the time, lol, whole other story) vs the hot autistic nerd witch who likes to drink blood. She's not a vampire, it's just sexmagic thing okay???
Sinlen is one of those neuro-atypical girls who used to be a mess who made being hot and cool her special interest. She faked it until she could make it. She comes off as confident, opinionated and observant, but she's actually really bad at social stuff that falls outside the bounds of her facade. She can fake social skills because she did the lab work, her social intuition is horrible.
She projects a lot of ego because she's a rich commoner(coming from a very rich family of mages) surrounded by nobility (like Naomi), giving her a big chip on her shoulder. This can be real bad in her social interactions with more... normal people. An attitude that kinda traumatized her long time girlfriend Arilyn
Sinlen doesn't just do magic, she's a magic nerd. She writes research papers. She submits proposals on the adoption of magical standards. The weird way magic works in BE kinda leans into how she turns social interactions into mechanical operations.
Sinlen is a dommy bisexual menace, though she's kinda aro with boys. Technically switch/vers but the whole ego thing makes it hard for her to be vulnerable like that something that her and her girlfriend got into many fights about. Sex for Sinlen is the best when both people look like they tried to give a cat a bath. Despite being Dommy, she doesn't come from a place with the internet so a lot of her BDSM understanding is poor in her younger years, making her kinda a problematic menace until she gets older.
Sinlen also likes the equivalent of manga at that time, importing them from a continent over. When she moves to a place with more access to technology, she gets more into anime.
While magic and computers don't directly interact well, she takes an interest in computers what she moves, using them to research and take notes and make spell designs she could later etch into a spellbook or enchantment in a more magical area. Her favorite thing to eat once moving is an equivalent to Taco Bell.
Sinlen loves cats but is allergic to them. Eventually her girlfriend finds out that Siberians don't have the allergy gene so she gets her a big fluffy siberian that she named Beryl.
God I could go into her family's weird house of leafs ass ghost house, her weird multi-doll body maid, all the weird ways she hides spells on her, from invisible tattoos to false nails, or how her hair is kept like that with magic anchoring spells or gosh....

Sinlen's name and design came from Neolucky converting one of her OCs and then we riffing with the material and refining her design until it ended up as two completely different characters who just shared a name. But the prompt was "draw Naomi a bitchy looking rival who would do the rich girl laugh" and she delivered.
