caught myself idly thinking "I wonder how many people actually subscribed to that RSS feed, I should check" for a good several seconds before I remembered that's literally impossible. crazy how the social media era really baked in this assumption about how things obviously must work
🫡 Eleventy can be a pain in the butt but I think it’s great software and its maintainer seems like a pretty nice person. (Also, subscribed in my RSS reader, thanks!)
I think I'm mostly just philosophically annoyed by how it expects you to be using, often overlapping in a single file, somewhere between three to four different markup languages. But also, you know, whatever, I can live with that.
yeah, and the error messages are a nightmare. but when I have a “baked” site and I just need something with a web server that can serve the files, it’s such a load off my mind. I hate thinking about “uptime”
