being a gay furry online and then going to work at a non furry but very queer cafe (in both staff and clientele) is interesting bc occasionally you'll see people that are basically the therian equivalent of eggs who are in no way close to realizing bc, not being furries, they're not around any other therians. like, sometimes you'll see a cis, professionally dressed customer who you notice from day to day has A Fox Motif and thinks of themselves as an honorary fox and its like. sure. okay. motif. right. One of my coworkers gets such clear euphoria from literally anyone calling them a puppy and like, wears dog chains and stuff, not a therian, at least yet. Another customer puts their name in as "puppy" every time and is not someone i recognize as a local furry at all
