Basically all the ways I feel distant from furry culturally come from the general assumption (that’s in fact true for a lot of furs) that furry culture and otaku culture are similar/interested in a lot of the same stuff

And while that does seem to be true for a majority of furs, guess what? Not me. And a lot of the way Ive seen the dynamics of not being interested in a lot of stuff most furries are interested in is VERY high school: instead of football and game of thrones, the Popular Kids like anime and MtG. Don’t like those things in furry? Sometimes you can be an outcast even among outcasts

That I haven’t seen that dynamic here is a great thing about this place
