Hey Keith, I’m looking for some good comedy podcasts and I remember you talking about some on (I think) a Crusader Kings stream, but I cannot find it now. So, any podcast recs? Thanks!

i wouldnt say im on the cutting edge of comedy podcast listenership, im not sure what's new out there these days, the stuff i listen to is mostly old and well known. but i do still have fun with them
list delivered alphabetically per my podcast app:
beef and dairy network
the Big Grande suite of shows (Teacher's Lounge plus their mini series. these are paid but maybe the funniest things in the world. for the mini series i really love Exit 42 and Exit 43 (43 specifically))
Comedy Bang Bang
*The CBB Presents suite of premium shows (specifically Hey Randy, Eat Pray Dunk, and This Book Changed My Life)
Hollywood Handbook
Improv4Humans
The Andy Daly Podcast Project aka Bananas for Bonanza(And the patreon bonus show which i think is called Bonusnanza Extravaganza)

The Thrilling Adventure Hour
Three Bean Salad

sorry to bug, but i am loving the runbutton mgs series so far, and just wanted to ask - did yall have any plans to finish mgs3 anytime soon or is that on hiatus?

we're actually spinning up a schedule to help us do run button more consistently. MGS3 and Shenmue 3 are top of the docket

EDIT oh i also have a real itch to play Policenauts so... maybe Policenauts at some point

@okayhong asked:

Any opinions on fried oysters?

never had fried oysters! just raw and i think baked once or twice in a pasta dish! raw oysters are huge here, but for fried mollusks we normally do fried steamer clams (also called soft shell clams or Ipswich clams)
are fried clams a New England thing? i know steamers are. you can find them at almost any place that sells fried whitefish, including almost any neighborhood pizza joint. plus any actual seafood place obviously

@Greys asked:

I now have a washing machine that sings a shitty little song at me when it's done and I agree with you (from a clapcast?) that it feels condescending

Do you think singing appliances can be made good, or is this whole endeavor a mistake? Every time I get a new phone I end up spending an hour finding the least unwanted ringtone and notification boops; it leaves me feeling like there's a reverse valley of shittitude where, this washer jingle is too low effort to achieve neutrality, but all the noises in my phone are way too high effort to be fit for purpose. I'm not sure companies are willing to do the middle amount of work

There's probably no way to do this well. I think it would be nice if it made a fun little chime instead of a beep. Like at the end of a Mario level or something. Maybe if you could put your own mp3s on it and it could play like all of Semi Charmed Life
