no matter how much RPGs try to modernize and innovate, one thing remains constant:
the story says "very urgent! rush! take seriously!" and the gameplay says "we are not leaving this dungeon until we have turned over every vase and barrel in the quest for sweet l00tz"
if i go down a branch and it branches more that's the game telling me I need to backtrack and take the other path because there's something hidden there
