Seems like running any Electron program in a Wayland session results in it becoming glitchy. In fact, the entire shell also starts getting glitchy, to the point where the task manager locks up. Kind of. I can still click on things, and it'll bring them up if they still exist, but it won't update anymore until I kill and restart the shell.
When did every other application turn into a web browser? :/
there's some things you need to do, I think: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wayland#Electron (note that the configuration file is non-standard and may not exist if not on Arch)
When I try to do that with an application which I know runs systemwide Electron 25, it just seems to fail to load the program at all. It seems to fail to load the GPU process. (And Arch is mostly right; I'm using Garuda.)
...hmm, check that. I think it's working now? I still have one application that's in an AppImage for which there's no systemwide Electron alternative. Not sure if I can get that one going correctly.
