Clip Concerns

Does anyone have any good suggests for hosting quick video clips (with sound!) for embedding into cohost posts? Preferably without autoplay, too.

I used to use Gfycat, but the uploading process there has been broken for at least a month (stuck on "Encoding") and they apparently laid everyone off so that ain't gettin' fixed.

Imgur demands that some ugly borders get glued on, and does the whole autoplay thing, so I'm not particularly thrilled if that's the option.

Discord doesn't seem like the most permanent of hosts, and sure I could hotlink from Tumblr, but if I'm posting on Tumblr than I could probably just post there instead of here? And I don't really want to post there since none of my friends are there anymore.

Sure, I could probably use my Youtube, but I feel kinda odd about flooding that with Twitter-ass five second clips of nonsense when I mostly intend it for several-minute-long clips of nonsense...

I've been posting them as drafts to Tumblr, copying the MP4, and posting that. Uses the Cohost player

Streamable used to be really good at this but I guess they got tired of the burden of "free temporary video hosting for anonymous users" and now demand you register an account so they can impose account storage limits on you, nag you about 6+ month old videos they're about to delete, and beg you to spend money on their paid premium plan.

For what it's worth, it doesn't seem very difficult at all to just attach another Google account to your existing Youtube account. I have three accounts on my Youtube now and it's pretty painless to swap between them. So I just have a whole entire channel (https://www.youtube.com/@blazegamehog) dedicated to dumping random junk I know only five people are going to watch. (and stream vods)
