I've noticed a lot of Mastodon users seem to have a weird trend of marking literally everything as "sensitive content" even when it very clearly isn't. I first noticed this with some screenshots of Doom maps (of course), and initially just chalked it up to one of those people being a huge weirdo based on past interactions. But apparently this is like a thing there? Blanket content warnings regardless of necessity?
Maybe I'm just old and don't properly understand our modern, more considerate-ish internet, but that seems like it'd diminish the usefulness of such a feature and inure people to just clicking past that warning over and over until they suddenly get a face full of war crimes or whatever. Which probably isn't a good thing!
