On Making Trauma Legible: How Interactive Fiction Identifies Trauma

this is probably my best writing on games media. period.

it's an analysis on how games explore themes of trauma and what we can learn about these techniques. took me five or six months to work out its kinks. pretty proud of it. take a look at it if you're interested in the subject matter.

  • some extra doodles of this stuff including big buff warrior cherry... the idea of having ada be a porcelain doll was stewing in my brain for a while because i rly like the dynamic of someone being a formidable wall to protect their literally very fragile partner. the actual design just came through on a whim during a drawpile
