I know people ship Glimmer and Nikol but I can't see it. they have a much more sibling dynamic. Glimmer is like the older sister who pretends not to care because it "isn't cool" but ultimately is really protective. If Nikol fell off his bike and got a bad scrape and started crying, Glimmer would totally cry too because her younger bro got hurt while immediately pulling out her Medical-Grade Nitroglycerin-Fueled Fire Cello™️ (seriously who the fuck gave her that???) and patching him up (though she'd definitely pretend not to care of course)
that's also not even taking into consideration Shulk and Rex are so gay for each other. they work so much better as found family siblings
