"one day everyone's gonna have discourse about the mechanics-laden dating sims made for sickos i love," he sobs into his pillow late into the night, "you'll see! you'll all see!!!"

@iiotenki

anyway, i haven't beaten dd2 quite yet and i don't think i'll have a whole lot to add to that conversation after i do, but my main thought at this point is, "man, if ever there was a time for a way of the samurai 5, surely it's now" and that idea is probably going to haunt me in my sleep for the rest of my days knowing the place that series in particular is in now

but still

can you imagine!!!

argh!!!!!

(they're only similar games up to a certain point, yet i still feel confident in saying that if you're a dragon's dogma sicko, you should probably buy way of the samurai 4 on steam and experience its own stark, systemic majesty for yourself)

One of the comments I saw that convinced me to buy Rise of the Ronin was someone comparing it to Way of the Samurai. I'm not terribly far into the game and so far I don't think it actually earns that comparison, but damn if that isn't a great way to sell me, specifically, on a game.

...I really need to play Way of the Samurai 4.
