i am loosely aware of the fact that salt is mined and not produced like a chemical in factories and then bagged up, but this really drives that home

Wikipedia calls it a storage facility, not a factory, but that really does make me wonder...how DO they produce this salt? Like, it's apparently chemically treated to make it clump up less, too
