people started using e-sex instead of cybersex cuz everybody knows adding "cyber" to the beginning of a word makes it sound cool as fuck, there's no disparaging comment you can make against "cybernetic sex" that makes it sound like a less interesting idea or less cool of a word. e-sex, on the other hand, conjures up ideas like "e-mail", "e-card", "e-commerce"; simply electronic, a stagnant technology that is very "unhip" in the modern world outside of professional communication, and corporate or business use. measurably uncool from the get-go. a bastard concept
