In the US, flooring with that sort of seam generally isn't used in those kinds of spaces. Typically, it's polished concrete, some sort of polymer flooring, or maybe linoleum or sheet vinyl in older or non-commercial spaces.

Real tile tends to only be found in home bathrooms. (My aunt was considered a bit eccentric for putting real tile in her kitchen in the 90s, and afterwards she hated the labor it needed to keep it clean compared to the linoleum flooring that they ripped out.)
