What a surprising little game. What a cool little game. I haven't beaten it yet; there's a lot of game to this game. But I've gotten pretty deep into it. It's free! Try it out!! I think it deserves more love.
It gives off the impression of some old gamemaker game from 2008, but it actually released in 2022. The art and music isn't traditionally "pretty" by any standards but I don't think it was trying to be. The deeper I get into this game the more I think all of its weirdness is deliberate. I'm enthralled.
Every upgrade I've gotten has had a reaction of "what the hell?? alright, cool" to it. You can't even jump at the start. I've seen the classic metroidvania "i need an upgrade to reach that" things but I genuinely had no idea what kind of powerup it'd give me. I haven't gotten a double jump and at this point I don't want one. This rocks.
