Vikka is a serial tinkerer and salvage hoarder, and when they got their hands on a particularly rare find, they couldn't help but tune it up and give it a fresh coat of paint.
Stronger joints and more powerful actuators, a more efficient power array, and everything inbetween. The Ordinators might have to bend to the whims of mass production, but a single dedicated Freeracer can work miracles.
Very happy with how this one turned out for how quickly i threw em together!
Basically just a single late night spent putting parts together with no real plan in mind.
I got inspired by the hip design on this build from Flickr. I'm sure many lego creators have moved over to Instagram or whatever but consider: hell no, never, no.
As long as flickr lego groups still exist i'll be hanging on for dear life. I don't even have an account, it's just much harder to find cool moc makers anywhere else or maybe i just haven't tried recently haha
Blue is a colour i don't tend to use all that often. I feel like i have enough blue but not a lot, so even things of this size do stretch the limits a bit. I think i ran out of tiles with just this.
The extra joint on the legs is a bit of a compromise, i often find i want to use technic socket bricks with the studs facing forwards but the joint location doesn't work for that, so i have to get Smort about it. This is the main reason i want more types of joint pieces, and why i want to build up my collection of existing pieces.
