Now that we know all of the mobs for the 2023 Minecraft Mob Vote, I feel like I can safely predict the outcome of the polling.
- The Crab - It was the first mob to be shown off and thus, speculation surrounding how useful it will be has had the most time to brew. As a result, the building and combat communities have already realized how good this will be for them and have pretty much locked in their vote before the other mobs have been announced.
- The Armadillo - Wolf Armour has been a HUGELY requested feature but this mob caters more to the casual players of Minecraft who would actually go out of their way to tame wolves compared to the Crab which is useful in every environment. Plus, The Crab's features cater to more technical communities (combat, builders, and I'm sure there's more).
- The Penguin - Dolphin's Grace for boats sounds great on paper, but this mob would only be useful in edge cases where: you are travelling by boat, you are in water, and you are near penguins. (Predictions aside, I think a Boat with Furnace would be a less situational alternative.)
