cuz i'm not gonna say USAmerican or Usonian or whatever the fuck lol
'Murican
Even if it's often used disparagingly, lets be real, that term will never refer to anyone not from the USA.
If you want something with a bit more of a...flair, may I suggest
"Usling" (Pronounced Us-ling)
Honestly I just love "-ling" as a suffix.
depending on who you ask, it's people from the north, or from new england, or specifically puritanical/thrifty older white protestant families from new england. you can say "oh just ignore that more specific meaning" but trust me i think a lot of people from the south would rather die than call themselves yankees
listen i'm ojibwe even within an american context all of y'all are yanks to me. ain't none of you get to opt out of being compared to new england protestants
New Englanders object to it because we hate baseball teams from New York, so honestly it's the only term guaranteed to offend pretty much every American, and I think for that reason alone more people should use it
I've lived in Boston for a long time and I like to pretend that Boston and New York are the same because of how furiously angry it makes both Bostonians and New Yorkers
You yell "learn to drive" at a Boston driver and they learn five new ways to cut you off
