So how do you ask other streamers to do coop/collab stuff with you?
There are so many people I'd love to stream with and get to know better but my mind then tells me that I'm not good enough to do things with others, regardless of how much I WANT to do these things.
Yes, I've been on Pit, and it's because a few people have been willing to give me that nudge/shove I need - that reassurance. I know it's no one's responsibility to do that, but damn it's appreciated BEYOND words.
Like this one artist I've watched for years... I wish I could talk to them more and be friends, but then my lizard brain tells me I'm only good enough to do things alone. The lizard brain says you are too old for this stuff. No one wants to do things with you. Part of me knows it isn't true, but part of me still believes it and that cripples me from moving forward. But if that person extends a hand, I grab it. I'm sure it doesn't help that other people also have social anxiety too.
I'm in a lot of Discords and watch lots of people and would LOVE to do things with others. If I'm in your Discord - it's to interact with you more. I'm just shit at starting conversations.
Anyways... if you have any tips or hey, you're a mutual who is also looking to collab, I'm around and would love to do more stuff with people. You don't have to be a vtuber or artist. I just struggle hard with making that first ask. Once I'm passed that, I'm usually good.
I dunno if any of this made any sense.
Here have a picture for reading all this.
I just sit in the corner and hope someone will notice me. Not just streaming. In all aspects of life. It definitely Works. Nod nod. Definitely. ๐
Self-deprecating sarcasm about my own social unskills aside, one of the biggest issues I run into coordinating anything is finding people in the right spacetime. I'm like ultragood at finding people who want to play something with who are, on average, only awake when I'm asleep (or, at work when I'm free; et cetera). This amazing super power is a passive non-toggleable always-active ability, so it was true even that time I worked night shifts for a while.
