ever notice how 2D CAD software always animates selected edges but totally misses the opportunity to animate them in a queer way? if ur like me you've been disappointed by this constantly.
but now u can be gay at the same time as editing basic floor plans. amaze!
anyway. i made this lil' web app for drawing up quick floor plans. bc ive somehow managed to move nearly every year for the past too-many-years, and i need to figure out where furniture goes. im moving again next month >_>
there's a kinematic constraint system that uses spring forces to position things. which is a really weird feature in a CAD tool! but its one ive been wanting bc whenever i take measurements (or get them from a landlord) they're a liiiiittle off, so i needed a way to support fuzzy constraints. also springs are fun.
all the persistence is browser localstorage + u can save and load from json files on ur own disk. i don't store anything bc backends r expensive, so no privacy issues!
also the code is here if u rly want to look at it. u probably don't bc i was manic for part of writing it and some parts of it are therefore Not Great™
