it's probably not ideal, but I absolutely write all of my long form blog posts in a local markdown file before I copy and paste them to cohost. I am easily distracted, and deeply love sublimetext, so it fits in my workflow.
This is my go-to favorite quick-script:
➜ ~ cat ~/.scripts/qn
#!/bin/bash
mkdir -p ~/notes/$(date +"%Y")
subl --new-window ~/notes/$(date +"%Y")/$(date --rfc-3339="date").md
rip to the multiple people I've seen in the last week that have lost longposts to the editor window.
