general stuff:
- Reshade (always get "with full add-on support" for taking pics)
- i edit my shots using Adobe Lightroom, short tutorials to get started:
cars: Picture Perfect: How to Edit Photos of Your Car by @victoria-scott
characters: How to create and edit a screenshot by Frans Bouma - FRAMED: general and game specific guides
i am not educated in any way on photography besides the very very basics and all my "knowledge" comes from fucking around with video games, so don't expect much if you ask me stuff
Assetto Corsa Competizione
- DLSS/FSR has to be disabled for Reshade to access depth information. don't ask me why
- motion blur enabled (bottom of the graphics menu)
- take advantage of the option to save custom option presets to jump between gameplay and screenshot graphics
- native free camera is accessed with F7; several control options including FOV and depth of field by pressing middle mouse button, scroll wheel to change camera sensitivity. you need to use a gamepad to access tilting with the shoulder buttons (""useGamepadForFreeCamera": 1" in Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config\cameraSettings.ini)
- for moving shots: RealLongExposure shader + iMMERSE Depth of field (alternatively aDOF is perfectly serviceable and should be available directly through the Reshade installer)
for static shots: IGCS Depth of field through Reshade - iMMERSE Solaris
- iMMERSE RTGI
- Unreal Engine Unlocker with the following options to improve reflections and remove the vignette:

- hotsampling through UUU
- my Reshade preset, this is mostly just the aforementioned shaders set up for ACC (in particular RTGI)
Automobilista 2
- in the graphics options, turn off MSAA, put post AA on SMAA Ultra and supersampling to ultra
- the ingame photo mode offers everything you'll need; sometimes the drone camera can snag on trackside objects, i've found moving it up or down usually helps getting it unstuck
- hiding the UI and taking your pics with whatever you prefer (Steam as uncompressed screenshot, Geforce Experience, etc) gives better quality than saving the pictures ingame and opening that later
- iMMERSE Depth of field (alternatively aDOF is perfectly serviceable and should be available directly through the Reshade installer)
- iMMERSE Solaris
- iMMERSE convolution bloom
- iMMERSE RTGI
Baldur's Gate 3
- disabled ingame depth of field; DLSS quality
- iMMERSE Clarity
- iMMERSE Solaris
- iMMERSE RTGI
- free camera and hotsampling through Otis_inf's camera tool
- IGCS Depth of field
Cyberpunk 2077
- disabled ingame depth of field (set to off in photo mode); DLSS quality
- Otis_inf's camera tool
- CyberLit (very occasionally only because i prefer using already present ingame lights)
- IGCS Depth of field through Reshade
- Reshade to take screenshots instead of the photo mode itself
Dishonored 2
- Nvidia Ansel
Final Fantasy XIV
- hotsampling through SRWE with its Screenshot Improvements feature
- Brio
- Ktisis
- my own Reshade preset or Elvashade Reshade presets; most of my shots use Once's TT or a preset from Baroque or Pioneer
- disabled ingame depth of field (untick the option in gpose)
- iMMERSE Depth of field (alternatively aDOF is perfectly serviceable and should be available directly through the Reshade installer)
- iMMERSE Solaris
- iMMERSE convolution bloom
- iMMERSE RTGI
Need for Speed Unbound
it's been more than a year since i last played this game and while i assume that most Reshade tools like iMMERSE Depth of field should work just fine, i personally haven't tried them on this game yet
Planet Zoo
- Nvidia Ansel
i'll edit this post with other games i get into
a final update to this. all my tips and resources for individual games are available on https://aenore.fr/ as well c:
