got a mandatory audit for Default Filename TV (my default filename youtube aggregator) from google, which happens every once in a while. i have to answer things like "Do you create/provide any type of reports using YouTube API Data?" and "Approximately how many users use your API Client?" but, it also sent me watching for a half hour just to make sure it was still working, and... it's still working.

small descriptive list of a section of my watching:

  • tour of the minor basilica of saint hubert
  • toddler dancing in a living room in eastern europe
  • taekwondo demonstration
  • sea plane taking off
  • 3 seconds of a press release about the technology sector
  • rave footage from the middle of the crowd
  • amateur baseball game
  • video of a crt television playing a public access show of a rock band
  • a group doing buddhist meditation
  • enormous statue of a businessman in (indonesia?), people gathered all around on scaffolding
  • math class, camera panning to catch someone making music on their laptop instead of taking notes
  • two girls whispering and laughing in a mirror
  • street race at 2 am
  • boa constrictor hatching
  • person yelling ohayo at two cats on a seawall, who then both turn and walk towards the camera

you can watch it here;

did NOT pass this mandatory audit (i'm running a "youtube clone", rich coming from the very people that buried these kinds of videos under the algorithm in the first place) and for now, they won't email me back to say how i can differentiate myself further. i will continue to email my code reviewer once a month, as is my right.

but for now, rest in situ, defaultfile.name. long live astronaut.io
