seeing that the person who made It Steals and The Upturned made Lethal Company make everything about Lethal Company make so much more sense.
It has that same capricious kind of horror where the creator is basically using the scares as a series of pranks that vary in intensity but are still ultimately kinda funny.
Like, a monster that sneaks up on you and snaps your neck is horrifying, but the fact that it will do that while you're both sneaking around like you're in the middle of a Courage the Cowardly Dog episode and can end in you AND the monster just eating shit on a landmine elevates it to a grim form of slapstick.
