Nebilim
@Nebilim asked:

Is there anything you've had to cut from Gorlak, or any details you couldn't find a place to put in the game, that you still think about or wish you could use somehow?

There's another ask kinda like this but this one i'm going to specifically read as "concepts from the beginning that were cut before production even started"

One idea I had I also instantly noted as "probably not doing this" is having your reputation be something that would be tracked based on your actions. Outside of affecting what endings would be available it affect these miniboss battles that automatically happen at the end of every week. the idea being that if you have a bad reputation you would be attacked by local townspeople and heroes (which is basically what happens now) or attacked by... idk other local villains who think the new anti-villain that showed up is going to be a problem. I think if i ever did some big post launch update i could still fit something like this in but it would be a lot of work to set up as well as for the various payoffs. I think it's something that could make sense to have since I feel like Gorlak caring a lot about how people see him could be part of his character to explore but ultimately i think it's something i would leave out because all the actions you take confer different skill points and i think it would make it a lot harder to really explore different skill builds without locking yourself out of different endings.

Another one is being able to bring a party member with you on excursions but I wasn't very sure on how I could have them scale up with you as you progressed through the game. However now I have some ideas for how I could do that, namely:
-have them get stronger every day the same way enemies do
-allow them to use certain equipment (white would probably get swords and axes while black gets daggers and claws)
I even considered a third friend who i only noted down as "the oracle" who would have been a healer. I think i basically folded this idea into the necromancer and considered having them be a party member who healed but ultimately i decided that if i was going to have a party member who could heal nobody would ever switch off of him, not to mention for story reasons (Gorlak doesn't really trust this guy) it made more sense for The Necromancer to always be staying back at home. I think if I did implement this I could still have The Necromancer as a party member but it would require a Special Condition.
