Lark

As I am new to knitting socks, I am in search of some good cute simple-ish sock patterns¹. I am not new to knitting and I am good at spatial reasoning, but I do not have domain-specific knowledge for socks in particular (for example, a pattern that just says "insert your favorite heel here" will not be useful to me right now).

Thoughts? Comments? I'm open to toe-up or top-down as I haven't found a preference yet. 🧶

1. lace and (narrow) cables² are fine, I need the "how the portions go together" part to be simple tho

2. I don't care for the fuss required for 4+ stitch cables tbqh

I realized that with all the sewing-for-work I'm doing, I've not got much time for sewing-for-personal stuff... but that knitting is a completely different thing (that, this is important, I can do hanging out with my partner rather than sequestered in the sewing room) so I could take that up again for my Fun Fiber Craft.
A sweater seems to me to be too big a project, but I could maybe do fancy socks?? I'll need to look up how to do those it's been over ten years.
