I realized that with all the sewing-for-work I'm doing, I've not got much time for sewing-for-personal stuff... but that knitting is a completely different thing (that, this is important, I can do hanging out with my partner rather than sequestered in the sewing room) so I could take that up again for my Fun Fiber Craft.
A sweater seems to me to be too big a project, but I could maybe do fancy socks?? I'll need to look up how to do those it's been over ten years.

It was roughly five years ago, during the height of my long-awaited playthrough of BoTW. I was strongly considering finding all of them (and eventually did), but first I knew I needed something more important: one I could squish

I obsessed over the shape for days--running circles around various koroks in game, sliding through dozens of screenshots, spinning the idea in my mind--finally concluded the best way to achieve its form was to knit it from both directions and graft it in the middle (to avoid a increase/decrease disparity), and busted out a test one in a few hours. I don't think I changed much at all between that and putting together a pattern. It's a fun knit, and, imo, not terribly difficult, with the exception of possibly the graft (it's worth it I promise).

I have two on my desk (the one pictured is of my favorite shape--hotdogface), I've mailed out three or four, and I think I have a couple at home in The Basket (of many, many knit toys). There are currently 20 something completed, photographed projects on Ravelry, and they are all my children. I'm so glad so many people have given it a whirl. Given the recent Zelda release, I'm seeing a few new projects for it, and I'm very excited!

If you'd also like to knit one, the pattern is free on Ravelry:
