longer-form stuff I keep meaning to get around to someday, starting, throwing out, and maybe might actually finish:
-an extended pile of thoughts on The Hunt For Authenticity, as seen in things like Geoff Keighley's entire deal with his fancy rewards show, the comic fan's desire to see already-perfectly-good stories performed by big-name actors doused in CGI, etc. , or: "no mom I'm not wasting my life on a hobby"
-Somewhat related to the above, the weird era of games being very in-your-face and angry and all-grown-up in the 90s and 2000s, or: "hey I watched the original NWO promo for the first time recently and I understand why Nintendo of America was the way they were in the 90s now"
-the tier list of social acceptability of kink, or: "why no one bats an eyelid in non-adult spaces when I say I want Ravana from FFXIV to pin me to a wall but also you don't see anyone talking about playing Tribal Hunter" or: "everyone in the world's gonna get real mad at me about this one"
-the acts of being plural and investing heavily into TTRPG characters, or: "that time I woke up and there was a clown in my head" or: "lessons learned from being a religious goblin pacifist, placed into a situation that demanded righteous murder"
