Look, I know what I've drawn looks fine, even though it's unfinished. But the problem is too much time has passed for me to look at this and still feel like I want to continue working on it. If I'm going to be working on something I want to do it because it's fun to do, not because I feel obligated to do it (which is why I'm terrible with commissions and gifts and am never going to do them again). It sucks, but it's just how my brain works.

I'm working on that drawing of Alison and Elegy just fine, because it's fun to see my characters come to life. But this? It's like... I get it. It's literally just me but as a shark, in the same boring way I've drawn me but as a rat in the past. I'm just not feeling this drawing in particular anymore. And maybe I'm mostly just saying this for myself rather than the like 3 people who'd care. I don't know. I just want to enjoy the process of drawing more, and forcing myself to do this isn't bringing me closer to that.
