Borderlands definitely. Somehow, I've never gotten around to Uncharted
I think you're nutty if you can go back to BL1 post-BL2. Ignoring the divisive writing in BL3, the gameplay has got serious legs compared to the original.
I tried to go back to BL1 for probably the second time post-BL2 and I always get up to some ways into the second area before getting bored. BL2, on the other hand, I have a healthy 150+ hours over a single string of NG+ playthroughs.
This might be the most difficult ordering. I'm trying to think of series that are a trilogy where I've even played all three.
Bayonetta maybe? Torchlight for sure.
Ratchet & Clank is a good answer. As much as I adore Dr. Nefarious as a villain, the gameplay felt slightly undercooked in Up Your Arsenal and the series, frankly, wouldn't recover until A Crack In Time (my favorite; have my copy signed by James Arnold Taylor whoop whoop).
Same with Uncharted. 2 vastly improved upon every aspect, but the original's setting has a solid presence that overshadows the minor retread that was Uncharted 3.
Same also with Sly Cooper, as far as I remember.
I'm a staunch defender of the original Jak & Daxter, so it doesn't apply there.
Nonetheless, lots of Sony properties!
I never had a PS3 until the PS4 was already out and despite obsessing over R&C on PS2, somehow never got around to the PS3 ones. It's a shame that the only way to play them on current gen is by streaming.
God of War. By the time it hit the PS3, it kinda jumped the shark and felt more tryhard than actually sincere.
Also, Motorstorm.
The one thing it made me think of immediately was a chronoligical ordering of the Star Wars trilogies.
So much so that I am surprised it is not THE answer.
