ok quick history about me and the witness.

i see this game in one of the first issues of gameinformer i ever got. like 2012. fast forward a few years and its out on ps4. i buy it and spend MONTHS trying to play the game. i cant figure out how to solve the puzzles and cant really go anywhere so im just fucking walking in circles around the map. later when i get a computer that can run the witness, i buy it AGAIn thinking im smarter. but no. the exact same shit happens. i get stuck in the exact same spot. and im mad because of the dissonance between how cool i thought this game was vs how fucking dog shit it really is. it just looks cool. the ending isnt worth it. if i ever play the game again its gonna be 100% spite, 50% rage, 50% internal fighting to keep calm.

and i also created this narrative of "the witness" being a real guy that is watching me try to solve the dog shit puzzles on his fancy island, and he's just sitting there in his big evil chair watching me through his magic orb tapping his fingers together like a wise old villan while i stare at the fucking trees hoping for an answer to his insane riddles

and by giving up i let him win
