theorhetically, the AKG K712s are within my budget. 80 bucks used. but realistically, they would be more like 160 bucks cause i would need a pre-amp to drive them. standard mobile headphone stuff is like 30-40 ohm impedence, the AKGs are 70 ohm, which means i need more loud from the computer to hear them in my ears.
benefit to the AKGs is that they have a detatchable cable. benefit of the samsons is that they cost $30 new. the samsons wont last forever, as evident from the superlux that i bought before. the AKGs cost a hot dollar more but they might actually last with some care.
uuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh im just sick of using apple earbuds hunched up towards my monitor bc the cable is so short.
